A Man Refused to Send His Parents a Photo of His Newborn Despite Their Excitement – When His Wife

My in-laws spent nine months preparing for our daughter’s arrival. But when Alicia was born, my husband refused to send them a single photo. I thought he was exhausted—until I saw a message from his mother on his phone.
Their excitement had started with our first ultrasound. Patricia cried, while Dennis bought a tiny yellow fishing hat.
“I’ll teach that baby to fish someday,” he promised.
When we learned we were having a girl, Patricia transformed her spare bedroom into a nursery, complete with pink curtains, a crib, and more clothes than we had at home.
“Just in case she stays over,” she explained.
At the time, I felt lucky our daughter was already so loved. Looking back, I wondered what I’d missed.
