My date immediately ordered a pricey appetizer, steak, and drink, then spent the evening laughing and taking calls on her phone. It became obvious she wasn’t interested in knowing me—she just wanted a free meal.
When she stepped away, the waitress quietly offered to separate our checks. Relieved, I agreed.
My date returned, saw her bill, and asked, “Aren’t you paying?”
