Washing The Dog

A seven-year-old boy walked into a corner grocery store and picked up a box of laundry detergent.
The grocer smiled and asked if he had a lot of laundry to do.

“No,” the boy said. “I’m going to wash my dog.”

Alarmed, the grocer warned him the detergent was too powerful and could make the dog very sick—even kill him. The boy ignored the advice, paid, and left.

A week later, the boy returned to buy candy.
The grocer gently asked how the dog was doing.

“Oh, he died,” the boy said casually.

“I’m sorry,” the grocer replied. “I tried to warn you about that detergent.”

The boy shrugged.
“I don’t think it was the detergent.”

“Oh? What was it then?”

“The spin cycle.” 😄
