A Strange Dog Sat at My Son’s Grave Every Day – One Day, I Decided to Follow It

Three years after losing my 19-year-old son, Caleb, I noticed a scruffy dog lying beside his grave every Sunday.
One day, I followed him to a small house. Caleb’s former girlfriend, Sadie, opened the door and invited me inside.
Then a three-year-old boy appeared.
He had Caleb’s eyes, smile, and crooked eyebrow.
“Beau is Caleb’s son,” Sadie confessed.
She had discovered her pregnancy after Caleb died but was too frightened to contact me.
Then she revealed that the dog, Jasper, had belonged to Caleb. He wasn’t wandering through the cemetery—he was visiting someone he loved.
When Beau learned who I was, his face lit up.
“So you’re my grandma?”
I nodded through my tears as he hugged me.
The following Sunday, Sadie, Beau, and Jasper joined me at Caleb’s grave.
For the first time in three years, I left the cemetery holding my grandson’s hand instead of carrying only grief.
