Major Update On Possible US-Iran Deal to End War

Donald Trump and his administration are working on a possible agreement to end the conflict with Iran, with talks continuing in Qatar. Marco Rubio said the Strait of Hormuz must reopen and warned that its closure is unacceptable for global trade.

While the U.S. carried out military strikes against Iranian threats near Bandar Abbas, both sides say progress has been made in negotiations. A final agreement could involve Iran reducing nuclear enrichment in exchange for eased U.S. sanctions.

Officials say major issues are moving toward resolution, but a deal has not yet been finalized.
