In A Two-hour Talk With Elon Musk, Donald Trump Says Domestic “Enemies” Were “More Dangerous” Than Foreign

In a two-hour discussion on X, delayed by technical issues, Donald Trump told Elon Musk that domestic “enemies” were a greater threat than foreign adversaries like Russia and China. The talk, described by Trump as the “greatest interview ever,” attracted over 1 million listeners, though Musk had expected 8 million.
Trump, facing a more competitive race after Vice President Kamala Harris’s surprise rise, criticized Democrats and claimed they staged a “coup” to replace President Biden, with Musk suggesting they “took him out back and shot him.” Trump accused Harris of moving to the center on issues like immigration and even called her a “radical left” figure.
Trump also expressed frustration with political rivals, calling “bad people” in government a bigger threat than foreign leaders. He praised North Korea, China, and Russia for their strength, and Musk tried to steer the conversation to more moderate topics like immigration and government spending.
Trump made exaggerated claims about US farmers struggling to export, overstated US aid to Ukraine, and criticized the EU for unfair trade practices. The UAW filed charges against Trump and Musk for supporting Musk’s firing of striking workers, which is illegal.
Towards the end, Trump criticized Biden’s age, calling him “close to a vegetable state,” while Musk agreed, stating, “We just don’t have a president right now.” The Harris campaign responded, condemning Trump’s extremism and accusing him of catering to the wealthy elite.
