My Aunt Slipped Grandma’s Diamond Ring Off Her Finger on Her Deathbed — Two Days After the Funeral, a Package Arrived That Made Her Turn Pale

Nobody Pretended Glass Was a Diamond
Grandma was still alive when Aunt Linda slipped the “diamond” ring off her finger. She saw it. I saw it. And she chose not to fight.
After she passed, Linda cried the loudest at the funeral, calling herself “Mom’s favorite,” while hiding the stolen ring.
Two days later, a courier delivered a package that had to be opened in front of everyone. Linda rushed to open it.
Inside was a letter and a receipt. Grandma had seen her take the ring and stayed silent to avoid drama. Then the truth came out: she had sold the real diamond years ago to pay for Linda’s rehab. The ring was just glass.
The room went quiet.
Another envelope was for me. Funeral funds. Two signatures. Linda had no access. One request: read everything out loud at Sunday dinner.
So I did.
Linda walked out.
The next Sunday, her chair was empty.
And no one pretended glass was a diamond anymore.
