Found Nearly $3,500 in My 13-Year-Old Son’s Piggy Bank — So I Followed Him After School and Discovered

I accidentally dropped my 14-year-old son’s piggy bank — and it wasn’t just money inside.
While cleaning his room, I found a piggy bank I’d never seen before. Odd for a teenager, but I smiled — until it slipped and shattered.
Hundred-dollar bills spilled out. My shock deepened when I found folded notes, a key, and a small black-wrapped packet. My hands trembled as I opened the first note:
“For Mom and Dad. When we have to leave.”
The second read:
“If they find out, hide the key.”
Inside the packet was a USB drive. My heart raced — what was my son hiding?
Then I heard the door. My son froze at the sight of the broken pieces.
“Mom… you weren’t supposed to see that,” he whispered.
I demanded an explanation, but he glanced toward the window.
“Please, not here. They might be watching.”
“Who’s watching, Alex?” I asked.
He hesitated, then said words that made my blood run cold:
“The people who are looking for Dad.”
