Entitled Mom on the Flight Broke My Daughter’s iPad – She Regretted It Sooner Than I Could Have Imagined

On a two-hour flight, my 5-year-old daughter Ella was quietly watching her iPad when a boy across the aisle started whining. His mom bragged about their “no screen time” rule… then demanded I turn off Ella’s device so her son wouldn’t cry.
I refused. She wasn’t happy.
Minutes later, she “accidentally” knocked Ella’s iPad to the floor, shattering it. Ella cried, and the mom gave a smug fake apology.
But karma hit fast.
Her son, now bored and overstimulated, flipped out — kicking, yelling, and eventually knocking over his mom’s coffee… right into her open bag. Out slid her passport, which he promptly stepped on, grinding it into the soaked carpet.
By landing, her passport looked destroyed.
A flight attendant warned her she’d likely miss her international connection — and she did. As she panicked on the phone, rearranging her whole trip, Ella and I walked off the plane for ice cream.
In the end, she broke my daughter’s iPad…
but karma broke her vacation.
