My father owns a sizable business, and my now-ex-husband used to work for him. Since I’ve never been involved in the business world and didn’t see myself as a leader, my dad had planned to pass the company down to my husband. But everything changed when I discovered he was cheating on me. We divorced, and though my father didn’t fire him right away—since he was competent—he made it clear the company would no longer be his to inherit. Instead, my ex was demoted to a managerial role with a much smaller paycheck. Eventually, another disagreement led to him being fired altogether. His mistress left him too. Now, out of nowhere, he wants to get back together. Not happening.
Story 2:
I was with a guy for four years, and he cheated. At first, I struggled to figure out how to get back at him—until I had a lightbulb moment. I’d kicked him out of my apartment, and he never came back for his stuff, likely thinking I’d take him back. So I listed everything of his online and started selling it. Half of it is gone, and with the money I made, I bought myself new clothes. Honestly, I feel great. Thanks for the wardrobe upgrade, sweetheart!
