Two cowboys came upon an Indian

The Cowboys and the Wagon

Two cowboys spotted a Native American man lying with his ear against the ground.

“He can hear things miles away,” one whispered.

The man looked up. “Covered wagon. Two horses—one brown, one white. A man, woman, child, and furniture.”

“Amazing! How can you tell?”

“Because it ran over me thirty minutes ago!”

The Chief’s Winter Forecast

A tribal chief, unsure about the coming winter, told his community to collect firewood. Then he called the National Weather Service.

“Will winter be cold?”

“Yes, very cold.”

He urged everyone to gather more wood. A week later, he called again.

“Are you sure?”

“One of the coldest winters ever!”

“How do you know?”

“The nearby tribe is collecting firewood like crazy!”
