I Got My Granddaughter’s Drawing Tattooed on My Arm – Then My Husband Stopped Talking to Me

When my six-year-old granddaughter, Natalie, gave me a drawing that said “I LOVE YOU NANA,” I had it tattooed on my arm. She was thrilled that I would keep her artwork “forever forever.” But my husband, Rob, called the tattoo trashy, claimed he was no longer attracted to me, and demanded I remove it.
Heartbroken by his reaction, I called his brother, Dean. He revealed a painful secret: Natalie had seen Rob kissing his friend Claire, whom she called “the lady with the butterfly tattoo.”
Suddenly, Rob’s anger made sense. I believed he feared my tattoo would prompt Natalie to mention Claire’s. When confronted, he repeatedly denied the kiss before finally admitting it, though he insisted nothing else had happened.
I eventually filed for divorce. His lies and cruelty had broken my trust; my granddaughter’s drawing hadn’t destroyed our marriage.
Later, Natalie hugged me and whispered, “You still have your forever forever. Me.” Despite the marriage betrayal, the little tattoo remained a reminder of the love I still had.
