I Came Home Early and Found My Husband in the Bathroom with My Sister
I returned home early from a work trip, hoping to surprise my husband, Mike. Instead, I heard running water and hushed voices coming from our bathroom. One voice belonged to Mike—the other to my younger sister, Jenna.
As I approached the half-open door, I heard Mike say, “She’ll find out eventually.” Jenna quietly replied, “Not like this.”
My heart pounded as I pushed open the door. Mike stood beside the bathtub in a T-shirt and sweatpants, holding a towel. Jenna sat on the closed toilet lid wearing one of my robes, while her jeans and blouse lay on the floor. Her mascara was smeared, and she looked terrified.
Convinced they were having an affair, I demanded to know how long it had been happening. Mike insisted nothing romantic was going on, but neither of them would explain why they were locked in my bathroom together.
Mike finally admitted Jenna had come to him because she desperately needed help. However, he claimed he couldn’t reveal the truth without her permission. Furious and heartbroken, I grabbed my travel bag and prepared to leave.
Then Jenna broke down and told him to explain everything. Mike slowly moved away from the doorway, looked at me, and said, “Look at her shoulder.”
