She went back into the busy shopping area, but the man stayed close. To see whether he was following her, she entered a dollhouse store. He came in too, lingering nearby and looking in her direction. Now genuinely afraid, she left the store and headed outside. He followed, matching her pace.
She called her husband, who was waiting in their car, and said loudly, “I’m being followed by the man behind me.” Her husband rushed toward her, and the man walked away.
