My Entitled Neighbors Kept Stealing from My Garden — So I Came Up with Something They Didn’t Like at All

 

When my neighbors started treating my vegetable garden like a free grocery store, I was furious. Every tomato, pepper, and cucumber I grew was meant to feed my family—not strangers who ignored my signs and climbed into my yard.

Despite fences and warnings, the thefts only got worse. After one too many stolen harvests, I turned my motion-sensor irrigation system into a surprise defense, soaking anyone who trespassed.

The neighborhood called me unreasonable, but the garden raids stopped almost overnight. In the end, I realized the problem was never generosity—it was entitlement, and sometimes the best way to protect what you’ve worked for is to enforce your boundaries.
