The Unexpected Lesson a Teen Learned from My Elderly Father

I took my 92-year-old dad to the mall, where he quietly watched a teenager with bright, colorful spiked hair.
The teen, sensing the attention, joked, “Never done anything fun in your life?”
My dad smiled and gently replied that while he didn’t have colorful hair, he tried to make life brighter through kindness and respect.
He added that the brightest thing anyone can share is their character.
The teen softened, thanked him, and the moment stayed with me as a reminder that true wisdom is shared quietly.
