I Refuse to Treat My Coworker Like Royalty Just Because She’s Pregnant

At first, I genuinely wanted to help. I covered meetings, grabbed documents, even picked up lunch when she felt sick. It felt like the right thing to do.

But it didn’t stop. She started sending me her tasks daily—joking it was “baby brain.” Then one morning, I walked in and found her sitting at my desk because she wanted the window.

I finally left her a note asking to talk. Instead, she reported me.

HR called me in… and sided with her. They said my tone was “rude” and I should be more understanding because she’s pregnant. Now I’m being asked to apologize—and my coworkers are avoiding me like I did something wrong.

I support helping others, but where’s the line between kindness and being taken advantage of? 🤔
