⚠️ When a Rash Becomes Dangerous

Skin rashes are often ignored, but when hives appear together with breathing problems, the situation can become life-threatening very quickly.

Hives (urticaria) are red, itchy, raised patches that may seem harmless on their own. However, combined with symptoms like shortness of breath, throat tightness, swelling of the lips or face, dizziness, or a rapid heartbeat, they may signal anaphylaxis — a severe allergic reaction that requires immediate medical attention.

Common triggers include foods, medications, insect stings, latex, or environmental allergens, and reactions can happen even without known allergies.

🚨 If hives and breathing difficulty occur together: call emergency services immediately and use an epinephrine injector if available.

Bottom line: A rash plus breathing problems is never something to ignore — acting fast can save a life.
