My sister wanted $3,700 after my son ruined her vintage sofa, until an unexpected call exposed the truth.

I’m 29 with a seven-year-old son, Jasper. My sister Chloe is 25. After our mom died, Dad raised us—but he spoiled Chloe so much that she grew up entitled and always hungry for attention.

Last weekend proved it.

Chloe called sounding sweet:
“Can Jasper come over? I bought a new board game!”
I ignored my gut and said yes.

The next day she’s screaming on the phone:
“YOUR SON RUINED MY VINTAGE SOFA! YOU OWE ME $3,700!”

Jasper was terrified, insisting he hadn’t touched anything. But Chloe spent the whole day harassing me with calls, texts, and outrageous repair estimates.

Then I got a call that changed everything.

A man from LuxeLiving Rentals said Chloe had rented that sofa for a photoshoot—no pets, no kids, no wine allowed. But it was returned with wine stains and a huge tear. And worse? She tried filing an insurance claim under my name, blaming Jasper.

I was furious.

When I confronted her, her smirk vanished the second I said:
“LuxeLiving knows it was you. The fraud, the damage—everything. And this time, Dad’s not here to save you.”

Her face went ghost white.
