One Sunday morning, the minister decided to shake things up a bit.
He told the congregation, “Today, I’m going to say a word—and I want you to sing the first hymn that comes to mind.”
He shouted, “CROSS!” Instantly, the church broke into The Old Rugged Cross.
Then he said, “GRACE!” Without missing a beat, they sang Amazing Grace.
Next, he called out, “POWER!” The congregation responded with There Is Power in the Blood.
Then came the twist. The minister said, “S*X.”
Silence.
The whole room froze. Eyes darted, heads turned. No one dared say a word.
Until, from the very back, a tiny 87-year-old grandma slowly stood up… and began to sing, Memories.
