An out-of-work mime wandered the zoo, hoping to perform for visitors. The zookeeper pulled him aside and offered a strange job: wear a gorilla suit and pretend to be the zoo’s famous gorilla, who had recently died.
The mime agreed. The next day, he entertained crowds by swinging on ropes and eating bananas—and became even more popular than the real gorilla. Wanting more attention, he performed near the lion’s cage, thrilling visitors and earning a raise.
One day, he slipped and fell into the lion’s enclosure. Terrified, he shouted for help. The lion pinned him down and whispered, “Quiet! We’ll both lose our jobs if you make a scene.”
