Three brothers age 92, 94 and 96 live in a house together

One evening, the 96-year-old runs a bath, dips his foot in, and stops.
He shouts downstairs, “Was I getting in or out of the tub?”
The 94-year-old calls back, “No idea! I’ll come check!”
He starts climbing the stairs but suddenly halts. “Wait,” he yells, “was I going up or coming down?”
Meanwhile, their 92-year-old brother sits at the kitchen table, sipping his coffee and listening to the commotion.
Shaking his head, he mutters, “Glad I’m not that forgetful.”
He knocks on the wooden table and adds, “I’ll come help as soon as I see who’s at the door!”
