Stepparenting isn’t a fairytale.
One woman saved for years to afford a facelift, but when her husband asked her to use that money to send his son Liam to visit his dying mother, she refused. Her dream came first.
“I won’t sacrifice my dream for your ex,” she said.
Her husband didn’t argue, but things changed. He grew distant, and Liam barely spoke to her. When she overheard her husband’s ex call her vain and selfish, it stung.
