A woman walks into Cabela’s to buy a fishing rod and reel

A lady strolls into Cabela’s, clueless about fishing gear but determined to get her son a birthday gift. At the counter, she’s met by a blind clerk who, relying purely on sound, confidently announces, “You’ve got yourself a 6-foot Shakespeare rod with a Zebco 404 reel, and hey—it’s only 20 bucks!” She’s impressed and ready to buy.
Then, as she drops her MasterCard on the counter, the clerk sniffs it out by sound alone. Trying to be sneaky, she lets out a little toot while bending down to grab her card—thinking, “He can’t possibly know it was me!” Spoiler: He definitely knew.
When the total hits $34.50, she blinks in confusion. “Wait, what? I thought it was 20 bucks?” The clerk smiles and says, “Well, ma’am, the rod and reel are $20, but you also bought a ‘Duck Call’ for $11, and some ‘Catfish Bait’ for $3.50.” She shrugs, pays up, and waddles out, secretly hoping the fish don’t hear that little surprise she left behind.
