Isabel entered her home, arms full of gifts for Paul’s birthday, but her excitement faded when she heard voices from the bedroom and saw a woman’s clothes on the floor.
She rushed upstairs, her heart racing, and was shattered when she saw her husband in bed with another woman.
“Do you want to try it again?” Paul asked Jane, not noticing Isabel.
When he saw her drop her bags in shock, he stayed calm. “Jane, meet my wife, Isabel.”
“This is crazy!” Isabel yelled. “How could you…?”
“Relax,” Paul said. “Why are you home early?”
Isabel pointed at Jane, wearing her robe. “And you care about why I’m early?”
“It’s still not 5:30,” Paul dismissed. “Go away for a few hours.”
“Sure, 10 seconds, darling,” Jane added confidently.
Devastated, Isabel decided to leave, grabbing clothes from the guest room. As she packed downstairs, Paul angrily asked why she was leaving.
“I’m done with you! The kids stay with me!” Isabel said.
“You think you’re going anywhere?” Paul taunted. “Without me, you’re nothing.”
Isabel stayed, sending the kids to camp the next day. When Paul and Jane returned, acting normal, Isabel said nothing, even though the pain was unbearable.
Later, Paul suggested Jane move in. Feeling betrayed, Isabel called a divorce lawyer, but he refused to help, citing Paul’s power.
Determined, Isabel teamed up with Jane to gather evidence against Paul, offering a deal. Jane agreed, but when they were planning, Paul caught them, threatening Isabel.
Isabel called the lawyer again, but he hung up. Weeks passed, and Isabel felt trapped. Then, she secretly took incriminating photos from Paul’s office and sent them to the police.
When Paul returned with security, he ordered them to arrest her, but just then, police arrived and arrested Paul instead. Isabel realized Charles, the lawyer, had secretly helped her.
As Paul was taken away, Isabel felt gratitude for the unexpected ally. She confronted Jane, who regretted not taking Isabel’s deal. Isabel replied, “You don’t deserve any of my money.”
