I Wanted My Mom to Find Love Again… Until I Met the Man She Chose

After my parents’ divorce, I encouraged my lonely mom to find love again. But when she introduced Aaron, a pastry chef my age, I accused him of chasing her money. Then she announced they were getting married in two months.
Despite my doubts, I helped plan the wedding and gradually accepted their relationship. But on the wedding morning, I returned home for her forgotten phone and discovered debt notices in Aaron’s name alongside property documents bearing his signature. Convinced I had uncovered a financial betrayal, I raced to the venue and shouted, “Stop the wedding!”
My mom’s response left me speechless: “These debts… they’re because of you.”
She and Aaron had used their wedding money to buy me the restaurant I’d always dreamed of owning. Aaron had borrowed money to cover the remaining cost. What I thought was proof of deception was a generous surprise—and my accusations had nearly ruined their wedding.
