The Goth Woman Across the Hall Never Spoke to Anyone Then One Night She Knocked on My Door Holding My Two Year Old Daughter and Said, Your Husband Doesn t Know I Saw Him

My husband said he was taking our two-year-old daughter, Daisy, for a drive to help her sleep. An hour later, our neighbor Charlotte knocked on my door with Daisy in her arms. She’d seen Oliver leave her with a woman across town.

I expected to uncover an affair. Instead, the woman introduced herself as Emma—Oliver’s sister. For seven years, he’d told me he was an only child. He admitted he’d secretly taken Daisy to visit Emma several times, but his explanation only raised more questions.

When I found Oliver at Emma’s apartment with property papers spread across the table, the truth came out. Their father had left them a house, and Oliver wanted Emma to sign off on a lucrative sale. Emma believed he’d brought Daisy along to make her feel close to her niece—and more willing to agree.

Emma refused to sign. I sent Oliver away. The hidden house mattered, but using our daughter and lying to me for years had broken my trust.
