My Neighbor Booted My Car, Claiming, “That Rusty Old Thing Ruins My View” – She Had No Idea What I Was About to Do
While my daughter’s family stayed with me, I parked my old Honda legally on the street. My neighbor Linda complained that it “ruined her view” and threatened me.
The next morning, I discovered she had attached a private wheel boot to my car. I contacted the city—but also ordered a life-size cardboard copy of my Honda and had it delivered to her house with the message:
“For days when the real one is parked somewhere else.”
Furious, Linda returned it, so I displayed it beside my garage. My grandchildren decorated it, and it quickly became the neighborhood children’s favorite toy.
A city officer later ordered Linda to remove the illegal boot. Eventually, her granddaughter joined the other children, and Linda began visiting too.
