I Thought I Did the Right Thing on a Plane—But My Flight Became a Nightmare

I Ate Nuts on a Flight—Then My Seatmate Accused Me of Endangering Her Life

During a flight from New York to Florida, the woman beside me revealed she had a severe nut allergy and demanded that I not eat my snack. I explained that I needed food with my medication and even moved to the back of the plane to eat.

Minutes later, she called an attendant and accused me of knowingly endangering her. I was confined to my seat, questioned by airport security, missed my connection, and had to purchase new tickets—although no charges were filed.

She disappeared without consequences, while I was left with a warning on my record. Should I fight this unfair treatment or simply move on?
