One time, during a flight, my daughter quietly told me, โDad, I think my period just started.โ I handed her the emergency pad I always carry, and she quickly went to the bathroom. A little while later, the flight attendant approached me and said, โSir, your daughter asked if you have a regular padโshe said what you gave her was just a liner.โ I turned bright red because I didnโt even realize there was a difference! Thankfully, a kind woman nearby offered her pad to my daughter. When she came back, she thanked both the woman and me, saying, โNext time, bring both.โ Now, I never forget.
