If you’ve noticed a small green dot at the top of your Android phone, don’t panic. On Android 12 and newer, it simply means an app is using your camera, microphone, or both.
You’ll usually see it during video calls, voice recordings, taking photos, or using voice assistants. If it appears unexpectedly, swipe down to see which app is accessing your camera or microphone, then review its permissions.
