Caribbean Braces as Hurricane Melissa Causes Widespread Damage

 

Hurricane Melissa continues moving toward Cuba as a powerful Category 3 storm after devastating parts of the Caribbean. At least seven people have died across Jamaica, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, with the toll expected to rise.

Jamaica suffered major damage, including destroyed homes, flooding, and widespread power outages affecting over 500,000 people. Cuba has evacuated more than 735,000 residents as officials warn of dangerous winds, heavy rain, and life-threatening storm surge.
