Man Bans Poor Old Mom from Seeing Her Newborn Grandson after She Walks for Hours to Do So – Story of the Day

I wanted to meet my newborn grandson, but my son Mark refused to pick me up, claiming he was busy. I was disappointed but decided to walk to his house, even though it would take hours since I rely on a walker. It was difficult, but I kept going and eventually arrived at his door after four long hours.
To my surprise, when Mark answered, he looked angry. He told me to leave and insisted I would meet the baby another time. I was shocked and hurt. I had just walked all that way, and he didn’t even care about my well-being. He slammed the door in my face, leaving me standing there in disbelief.
Feeling defeated, I left a bag I had brought for him on his doorstep and began my long walk home. Luckily, a neighbor offered me a ride. When I got home, I collapsed on the couch in pain, realizing my legs were swollen.
Later that night, Mark felt guilty when he found the bag I left. Inside were some of his childhood toys, and it hit him how cruel he had been. He cried, realizing how much he had distanced himself from me since marrying Camilla, ashamed of his humble background. After talking with his wife, he decided to apologize.
He drove to my house, entered with the spare keys, and found me resting on the couch. He helped me into my bedroom, apologized, and promised to make things right. We spent the night talking, and the next day, I finally met my grandson. Mark even invited me to live with them, wanting to make up for the pain he caused.
This experience reminded me that no matter what, we should never be ashamed of our parents.
