A Quiet Hospital Stay That Sparked an Unexpected Hope

During a two-week hospital stay, I felt deeply alone as machines beeped and visitors were rare.

Each evening, a kind nurse would quietly check on me, offering comfort and simple encouragement.

When I left, staff said no male nurse had been assigned to my room.

Later, I found a note in my bag: “Don’t lose hope. You’re stronger than you think.” It was unsigned.

To this day, I don’t know who it was, but it remains a reminder that unexpected kindness can appear when it’s needed most.
