How to stay calm when you find unwanted “guests” in your child’s hair.

Ticks are small blood-feeding parasites found in grass, forests, gardens, and on pets. Bites are often painless, so they can go unnoticed, but some ticks carry diseases like Lyme disease.

Symptoms after a tick bite may include fever, fatigue, headache, muscle or joint pain, swollen lymph nodes, or a spreading rash. The longer a tick stays attached, the higher the risk of infection.

Safe removal with tweezers and early cleaning of the bite area is important. Seek medical help if symptoms worsen or unusual reactions appear.
