At 2 a.m. on Christmas Eve, I walked past my daughter’s room and froze—her bed was empty, and my car keys were gone. Panic turned into tears when we found a handwritten note explaining she had taken blankets, sandwiches, and my car keys to help Santa’s tired reindeer rest in an abandoned house across the street. We found her curled up in the cold, proudly waiting to “save Christmas” with the pure kindness only a child could imagine. That night reminded me that the true magic of Christmas isn’t presents or lights—it’s the love and compassion children bring into our lives.
