Fast Food Giant Closing Hundreds of Stores While Renovating Rest

Burger King is not shutting down entirely despite rumors. Instead, the fast-food chain is closing around 400 underperforming locations while launching a major modernization plan called “Reclaim the Flame.”
The $400 million overhaul will upgrade thousands of restaurants by 2026, focusing on improved kitchens, new technology, updated designs, and enhanced drive-thru and delivery systems.
The goal is to strengthen stronger franchises, improve customer experience, and stay competitive against rivals like McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Five Guys, and Shake Shack.
