What was meant to be a romantic honeymoon in Shillong, India, ended in tragedy and betrayal. Businessman Raja Raghuvanshi vanished shortly after arriving with his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, on May 20. Days later, his body was found in a remote canyon, showing signs of violence.
At first, suspicion fell on Sonam’s alleged lover, but the investigation revealed something far darker—a carefully planned murder conspiracy involving multiple people. Police say Sonam allegedly orchestrated the plot, coordinating with accomplices and tracking her husband’s movements during the trip.
Even more shocking, authorities believe she manipulated others with promises of money and love, while secretly maintaining another relationship and planning multiple betrayals at once.
Sonam was arrested on June 8 after phone records linked her to the crime, and she later confessed to her involvement. Investigations are still ongoing into additional suspects.
