Who might be required to serve? A look at U.S. draft regulations in the event of a global war.

Is a U.S. Draft Coming Back? What You Need to Know About Rising Fears 🇺🇸⚠️

Online searches for “World War III” and “U.S. draft rules” are surging as global tensions rise and political proposals spark public concern.

Despite the panic online, the United States does NOT currently have an active military draft. The U.S. military remains an all-volunteer force, and conscription ended in 1973.

However, the Selective Service System still exists. Most men aged 18–25 are required to register, and the government can only reinstate a draft if it is approved by Congress and the President during a national emergency.

Recent debates and military tensions have fueled misinformation online, making it important to separate fear from verified facts.
