Several top Democrats—including Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and Gavin Newsom—are expected to consider a 2028 presidential run, CNN reports.
However, Maryland Governor Wes Moore has shut down speculation about his own ambitions, making it clear he will not enter the race.
Despite growing national attention and appearances in key early primary states like South Carolina, Moore told The Associated Press, “I’m not running,” and also dismissed any interest in a vice presidential bid.
Even as political speculation continues, he says his focus remains outside the 2028 presidential contest.
