🚨 Active Shooter Incident at Michigan Hospital Sparks Lockdown

An active shooter scare unfolded Thursday morning at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital near Detroit after shots were fired around 7:08 a.m. in a parking garage.

Police confirmed the suspect was a hospital employee who targeted a 25-year-old coworker, shooting him twice in the arm. The victim was quickly treated and is now in stable condition. Authorities say the incident appears to have been targeted, not random.

The hospital briefly went into lockdown as law enforcement secured the area. The suspect was later taken into custody without further violence, and an investigation into the motive is ongoing.

The incident has raised renewed concerns about workplace safety in healthcare settings, with hospital officials reviewing security measures to protect staff and patients.
