The Goat And The Horse Story

A farmer owned a horse and a goat.
One day, the horse fell seriously ill. The veterinarian said, “He has a virus. Give him this medicine for three days. If he doesn’t improve, we’ll have to put him down.”

The goat overheard everything.

On the first day, after the medicine was given, the goat whispered, “Stay strong, friend. You have to get up.”
On the second day, the goat urged him again, “Come on, don’t give up. Try to stand. I’ll help you.”
By the third day, the vet warned the farmer that the horse would be put down the next day to prevent the virus from spreading.

That night, the goat pleaded, “This is your last chance. Get up. One step at a time. You can do it.”
Slowly, the horse stood. Then he walked. Then he ran.

The farmer returned, saw the horse galloping across the field, and shouted, “It’s a miracle! My horse is cured! We must celebrate!”
Then he added, “Let’s cook the goat.”

Lesson: Management often celebrates results without knowing who truly made them possible.
