Ingredients

Beef

  • 2½–3 lb beef chuck roast

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 packet (or 3 tbsp) beef gravy mix

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Noodles

  • 12 oz egg noodles

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • Optional: splash of heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Season & Add to Slow Cooker
    Season the chuck roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place it directly into the slow cooker—no searing required.

  2. Build the Flavor
    Add onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and gravy mix. Stir lightly around the edges.

  3. Slow Cook

    • Low: 8–9 hours

    • High: 4–5 hours
      Cook until the beef shreds easily with a fork.

  4. Shred the Beef
    Remove the roast, shred it, discard excess fat, then return the beef to the gravy and stir well.

  5. Add the Noodles
    Cook egg noodles until just tender, drain, then stir into the slow cooker with butter. Add a splash of cream if desired. Let sit on warm for 10–15 minutes.
