The Statues

In a quiet city park stood two statues, a man and a woman, gazing at each other for decades.

One morning, an angel appeared and rewarded them for bringing joy to so many people by granting them life for thirty minutes, free to do whatever they wished.

The statues instantly came alive, exchanged smiles, and hurried into a nearby wooded area, disappearing behind the bushes. Laughter echoed as branches snapped and leaves rustled.

Fifteen minutes later, they returned, relaxed and clearly pleased.

Noticing the time, the angel said, “You still have fifteen minutes left. Would you like to go again?”

The male statue turned to the female and asked, “Shall we?”

She smiled mischievously and replied, “Sure—but this time  you hold the pigeon down and I’ll crap on its head.”
