A homeless man learned he had a little girl and began doing everything he could to bring her out of the shelter and into his care.

After losing his job, home and relationship, Dylan ends up homeless — until one encounter changes everything. Tina’s friend Vanessa tells him Tina secretly had his daughter and abandoned her at a care center.

Shocked, Dylan confronts Tina and gets proof: a three-year-old girl named Lila is his.

At the care center, Dylan meets Lila for the first time and vows to fight for custody. To get her back, he must rebuild his life from scratch — a job, housing and a stable routine.

He works tirelessly, eventually earning a job (and trust) from a local shop owner, Mr. Diego. Months later, Dylan saves enough for a small apartment and completes every requirement.

When he returns to the center, he’s finally approved. Lila runs to him with her stuffed bunny, and he tells her, “We’re going home.”

Two years later, Dylan owns the shop and Lila, now five, colors behind the counter. Their simple life isn’t perfect, but it’s full — and it’s theirs.
