Death came to a man and said, “Today, my friend, it’s your time.”
“But I’m not ready!” the man protested.
Death replied, “Your name is next on my list.”
The man smiled and said, “Well, why don’t you take a seat while I get you something to eat first?”
Death agreed. The man served a meal laced with sleeping pills. Death ate it all and fell into a deep sleep. Quick as a flash, the man moved his name from the top of the list to the bottom.
When Death awoke, he said, “Alright… I’ll start from the bottom today, because you’ve been so kind to me.”
