Little Orphan Prays in Church for Mom to Come for Him — “I Will Take You,” He Hears One Day

Six-year-old Alan sat in a church pew, praying through tears. “Jesus, please… I just want my mommy.” He’d grown up in foster care, teased by other kids who said no one would ever come for him.
Suddenly, a woman behind him whispered, “I’ll take you.”
Alan turned to see a tearful stranger — Annette — holding a worn photo of herself as a teen with a newborn. “I’m your mother,” she said. At sixteen, scared and alone, she had left him at the shelter door but never stopped watching over him.
DNA tests confirmed it. But choosing Alan came at a cost: her wealthy parents cut ties, and her husband filed for divorce. Still, she held her son’s hand and walked away to begin a new life, small but full of love.
Each night, Alan prayed with a smile:
“Thank you, Jesus, for sending my mommy.”
