Every Sunday, little Tommy went to church with his grandmother.<\/p>\n
One morning, she gently told him it was time for his very first confession.<\/p>\n
She explained, \u201cYou step into the small booth, tell the priest what you\u2019ve done wrong, and he\u2019ll forgive you.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tommy felt a bit nervous but agreed. He stepped inside the confessional, sat down, and soon the small window slid open.<\/p>\n
\u201cBless me, Father, for I have sinned,\u201d Tommy whispered.<\/p>\n
The priest gave a warm smile. \u201cGo ahead, my child. What would you like to confess?\u201d<\/p>\n
Tommy took a deep breath. \u201cUm\u2026 I took a pencil from school\u2026 I said a bad word\u2026 and I lied to my mom.\u201d<\/p>\n
The priest nodded patiently. \u201cThose aren\u2019t too serious. Is there anything else?\u201d<\/p>\n
Tommy paused, thinking. \u201cOh! I threw my sister\u2019s Barbie out the window and told her the doll ran away.\u201d<\/p>\n
The priest chuckled softly. \u201cAnything more?\u201d<\/p>\n
Tommy scratched his head. \u201cYeah\u2026 I also put toothpaste on Grandpa\u2019s dentures while he was asleep.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trying not to laugh, the priest said, \u201cAlright, say three Hail Marys and try to behave better.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tommy gave a proud nod and walked out of the booth.<\/p>\n
His grandma was waiting. \u201cSo, how did it go?\u201d she asked with a smile.<\/p>\n
Tommy grinned.<\/p>\n
