When Tobi was little, I worried he\u2019d never speak in full sentences or fit in with other kids. While others raced ahead, he moved at his own pace\u2014quiet, gentle, and wonderfully different.<\/p>\n

His first sentence was: \u201cYou smile better when sun is yellow.\u201d Not perfect, but full of meaning. From then on, I stopped measuring him by what he couldn\u2019t do and started seeing the magic in who he was.<\/p>\n

School was hard. Kids didn\u2019t always understand him. But he saw the world in ways they couldn\u2019t\u2014learning through animals, clouds, and kindness. At 12, he left me simple notes like \u201cDon\u2019t cry today.\u201d Somehow, he always knew when I needed them.<\/p>\n

In high school, he met Wren\u2014another quiet soul. They connected over doodles and shared silence. One day, her mom wrote to me: \u201cYour son helped my daughter smile again.\u201d That moment told me everything I needed to know.<\/p>\n

Tobi never won awards for grades, but he was honored for his kindness. He saw people as they were and made them feel safe. Now, at 22, he reads to kids, brings home \u201ctreasures\u201d from walks, and wants to \u201cpractice being a man\u201d while still having spaghetti nights with me.<\/p>\n

He may not follow the usual path, but he teaches love, patience, and presence every day.<\/p>\n
