An elderly Pope arrived in New York City, not with a grand procession, but in a waiting limousine. As he approached, a mischievous spark appeared in his eyes. Waving to the driver, he asked, \u201cCould I ask you a favor?\u201d \u201cOf course, Your Holiness!\u201d the driver responded. \u201cI never get to drive anymore,\u201d the Pope said. \u201cWould you mind letting me take the wheel?\u201d Though reluctant, the driver agreed. Moments later, the Pope was behind the wheel, speeding through the streets at over 100 mph. It wasn\u2019t long before a police car pulled them over. But when the officer saw who was driving, he stepped back in shock and called his sergeant. \u201cI\u2019ve pulled over a limo, but the driver is\u2026 someone really important.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMore important than the mayor?\u201d the sergeant asked.
\n\u201cMuch more.\u201d
\n\u201cThe governor?\u201d
\n\u201cStill higher.\u201d
\n\u201cThe President?\u201d
\n\u201cEven higher.\u201d
\n\u201cThen who is it?\u201d
\nThe officer paused. \u201cI don\u2019t know\u2026 but the Pope is driving for him.\u201d<\/p>\n
In another amusing story, a priest was pulled over for speeding. When the officer noticed the strong smell of alcohol and an empty wine bottle on the floor, he asked, \u201cFather, have you been drinking?\u201d
\n\u201cJust water, officer,\u201d the priest answered.
\n\u201cThen why does it smell like wine?\u201d
\nLooking down, the priest exclaimed, \u201cGood Lord, He\u2019s done it again!\u201d<\/p>\n
